Head of Digital Asset Strategy

Position Summary

This role is responsible for leading the company’s digital asset strategy, focusing on disciplined execution, risk management, and long-term value creation. The position plays a critical role in aligning investment strategy with overall capital management and business objectives.

Key Responsibilities

Asset Strategy Design & Execution

Develop and execute active management strategies for the company’s digital assets (primarily Bitcoin), including market-neutral and relatively low-risk approaches such as arbitrage, basis trading, and options strategies.
Establish a dynamic asset allocation framework, actively managing the balance between digital assets and fiat based on market conditions, macro factors, and corporate liquidity needs.
Trading & Risk Management

Design and maintain a robust risk management framework, with clearly defined limits on exposure, drawdowns, and stop-loss mechanisms.
Oversee daily trading operations to ensure strict adherence to approved strategies and risk controls.
Drive the ongoing development and optimization of trading systems, ensuring stability, execution efficiency, and data integrity.
Research & Strategy Development

Analyze a wide range of inputs including market data, macroeconomic indicators, liquidity conditions, and sentiment factors to continuously refine strategy models.
Conduct thorough backtesting and scenario analysis to ensure strategy robustness across different market environments.
Collaboration & Reporting

Work closely with finance and business analytics teams to enhance capital efficiency and ensure alignment with corporate cash flow and compliance requirements.
Provide regular, transparent performance and risk reports to senior management, supporting informed and timely decision-making.

Qualifications

Experience

5+ years of experience in trading, investment, or strategy development, within digital asset funds, quantitative investment firms, or proprietary trading desks at financial institutions.
Proven track record managing portfolios of USD 10M+ with strong risk-adjusted returns.
Experience building or leading a small, high-performing team.
Technical Skills

Strong understanding of digital asset derivatives, including perpetual swaps, futures, and options, with solid pricing and risk management expertise.
Proficiency in programming (e.g. Python) for research, backtesting, and data analysis.
Deep understanding of Bitcoin market structure, supply-demand dynamics, and cyclical behavior.
Leadership & Soft Skills

Ability to remain calm and make sound decisions in fast-paced, high-pressure environments.
High level of discipline and commitment to risk management and execution standards.
Strong communication skills, capable of clearly explaining complex strategies and performance outcomes to senior stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications

Experience at leading digital asset market makers, trading firms, or exchanges.
Hands-on exposure to decentralized finance strategies.
Relevant professional certifications in risk management or finance.
